Optimized Nutrition: the Organic Basis for Your Holistic Well-being

I get to start talking about how we can enhance our mental wellness through what we eat. And thereby create our ability for voice and sanity. I get so excited when it found this area of psychology that is called nutritional psychology during one of my recent continuing education experience.

Nutritional psychology gets to bridge the gap between psychology, helping the mind helping the person’s mind holistic well being. I would want to invite us to look at this beautiful picture of looking at the person in the most holistic fashion, mind, body, soul, and spirit. And therefore, then find ways to optimize all of it. And the idea is that through nutrition, we can get a far way.

We can really see how what we eat influences how we feel about ourselves. However, not only our mood ,our anxiety and overwhelm is influenced by what we eat, how we eat can really enhance the body’s ability to heal itself.

I would like to inspire you and me on an average budget who is consuming average foods every day. I don’t mean you need to become a chef or start shopping in a very expensive supermarket. Instead, how we can pay attention to our nutrition can help us support our mental well being.

This is not about giving you nutrition advice, because I’m not a nutritionist, and at the same time, I would simply like to inspire you to look for these small ways of eating in a way that makes a significant posititive influence on your way of being and feeling. Including an impact on your body’s ability to heal itself. S

I grew up on the farm in Germany, my family was relatively self sustaining food wise in my early childhood. Since we were self sustaining with a huge garden, I cannot remember my mother ever buying an apple in the store. We always had the apples from the tree and then also the food would be consumed in a relatively unprocessed fashion.

I wasn’t really aware how much our body is, is the one through the food that we take in, that gets to them produce the feel good hormone, serotonin, by the way that we eat.
